Anna is having a great day today. We haven't seen the surgeon today, but the nurses are saying that they are ready to remove the drain and a permanent shunt will not be required. There is still no sign of infection. I am guessing since this is a holiday, it will be tomorrow before they take out the drain and do another CT. Removing the drain is a minor surgical procedure. We are hoping to go home either Wednesday or Thursday. The sooner the better for us.
I am with Anna today at the hospital and we are calling the HOGs in the Cotton Bowl, which is off to a not so favorable start! GO HOGS!

I am amazed that you still have a sense of humor at all! God knew what he was doing when he put you and Louis together and blessed you with your two beautiful girls. I think Anna gets her strength from all three of you and the countless others that love your family. I read your blog often and always left with the same feeling of awe from the power of prayer, family, friends and hope. Sounds like you’re in wonderful hands from the doctors, surgeons, and nurses. I can not wait to hear more great news about Anna's recovery. Take care.
