A Quick Fix

Anna went in for a CAT scan and appointment with her Neurosurgeon last week. We were all very surprised to see that Anna has a large area that shows significant pressure. Although she has been feeling fine, the surgeon explained that seizures are the first sign of pressure build up. He thinks that something (a small piece of tissue from the surgery) may have blocked her shunt and that may be what caused all of the seizures in March. It can also un-block itself, and just be a slow drip now. Anna will go into the hospital Tuesday morning to have a minor test that will allow the surgeon to test her fluid and see how the shunt is working. If it is not working properly, he will have to replace the whole shunt. This is consider minor and a quick fix and hopefully, we will be on a better track.

Another update will follow later this week.
