Out of PICU

Blessings: We are out of PICU and into the IMC (intermediate care). Anna rested well during the night. She ate a big bowl of oatmeal this morning and is able to take all of her regular seizure meds. Anna started imitating a few sounds and has given us a few crooked weak smiles. I even crawled into bed with her yesterday afternoon for some well needed snuggle time! Not sure who loved it more...me or Anna! PT and OT came worked with her today and she sat up with assistance for about 10 minutes. They have order daily therapy going forward.

Prayer requests: Anna right side is still not moving. The surgeon expected to see movement today from her leg and ask that we not worry yet...easier for him than us! We started back on morphine, as her pain level is still high. We will not be going home Sunday, not sure when....maybe Tuesday or Wednesday? Playing it by ear. Pray for rest and strength for our family. Our shift changes, up and down, back and fourth are starting to wear us down a little. Dell is a 5 star hospital, but home is so much better!

You all are in my prayers and I'll be passing this along to the Pray Warriors. I'm so proud of Anna and daily improvement will certainly be around the corner. Much love,
Mary and Finn
