Update on Anna

I haven't posted an update in awhile, so here is the latest.

Anna lost her first two baby teeth 2 weeks ago. I can't believe that my sweet little baby is big enough to loose her first teeth! After getting over the sadness of her loosing her teeth, she had an accident and fell off the end of my bed. She hit her head on a trunk and needed 4 staples on the back of her head! I felt so bad for her! She is such a trooper and bounced back rather quickly. We have had a couple of follow up appointments with doctors. A new anti-seizure med came onto the market about a month ago, so we are starting Anna on the new med and taking her off one of her current medications. This is a 6 week process, so we haven't seen any improvements so far. The surgeon and neurologists all agree that we should start testing again to see if they can see any differences from her big surgery last Dec. 2007 Anna is scheduled to be hospitalized the week of 5/4 for a video EEG. This is where they place the electrodes all over her head and slowly take her off her meds to induce seizures. It is the doctors hope to see a clear area and single area that the seizures are starting. Seizures have increased since Dec. and they are concerned that she is just having way too many. Well, there will be more to report as we see how the new med does and what the test tells us in May.
